My Baby Turns 11!

How did my baby get so old!? It seems like yesterday, I was a naive and very young mother bringing home my first-born... now, he is 11 years old. He has grown into a loving, strong, smart young man, and it's been my pleasure to watch him mature and develop his own unique personality.

For the big 1-1, Noah planned a party with about 15 friends. The kiddos had a Nerf gun war, played Ghost in the Graveyard (old school rules, but with glow sticks), and had lots of good food including made-from-scratch birthday cake and ice cream! The moms stayed warm indoors and drank herbal tea while the younger crew got red-cheeked in the cold (it got down to the high 30's last night!!). I believe everyone had a blast, and we are already planning another get-together to do it all over again... :)

I apologize for the poor quality of the pictures... I couldn't locate the good camera in time, and the old one we used took some fuzzy pictures!

Here's Noah's ginormous homemade cake! He wanted devil's food, but I followed the wrong recipe and made him vanilla. Hahaha! Then, I topped it with a homemade butter-cream frosting- yum.

My big guy, waiting to blow out the candles...

Noah got all the candles out in one big breath.

One of Noah's gifts was a Santa butt that farted Christmas carols. Very appropriate!

Here's part of the crew... There were too many friends here to get in one picture!

Happy 11th birthday, Noah!!
