Homeschool News:

I am down to 2 homeschoolers this year! Annalee will be a HS Senior and Gabe will be a HS Sophomore... wow, time flies!

Annalee is working towards becoming a professional photographer. You should check out her Instagram account: shots.by.anne :) She is very talented!

Gabe just finished his Drivers' Ed course through FLVS and is the last of the kiddos to get his permit. Now, onto driving on the road- God, help me!

My Goofy Kids and Active Wildlife

This spring has been super chaotic! We have been busy with various projects, including making dinner for the Ronald McDonald house, field trips, park days, etc. I am starting to prepare the kids homeschool portfolios for their evaluation in a few weeks, also! There are not enough hours in the day...

I've noticed that the wildlife has been more active this year than last, too...

Here's Annalee with a butterfly on her nose... she is a bug magnet.

Gabe found a stick bug to crawl on his shoulder... this is the second we have come across in less than a couple weeks!

Elena has been taking pictures of creatures in our canal... here's a jellyfish that wandered into our neighborhood after a wild spring storm.

This sting ray has been trolling our canal for food recently. He is so graceful to watch and very fast!

This was a real treat! While taking Nibbles out last week, we caught this beauty perched near the house... burrowing owls are common around here, but I've never seen such a large owl in our parts. As it flew away (chased away by some nasty jays), its partner followed it across the sky- their wing-spans had to be 4 feet across!
