Annalee is working towards becoming a professional photographer. You should check out her Instagram account: shots.by.anne :) She is very talented!

Gabe just finished his Drivers' Ed course through FLVS and is the last of the kiddos to get his permit. Now, onto driving on the road- God, help me!

Our Girls... and Maybe One Boy!

Since we are now settled into our new home, I thought I'd introduce seven new members of our family- our chickens! I mentioned at the end of my last post that chickens would be one of my first projects at our new place :) Well, our good friends, the Christy's, were generous enough to give us seven chickens that they raised from chicks! Four of them are Rhode Island Reds: Patty, Gumbo, Panini and Cordon Bleu; and three are Ameraucanas: Chowder, Teriyaki and Mrs. Fluffles. We think Chowder is a rooster but have yet to hear him crow...

Here are our Ameraucanas! They are beautiful birds. At least two of them will start laying blue-green eggs in September :) We expect the Reds to start laying within a couple weeks!

Here's Annalee with her Red, Panini. All the kids are learning to care for our new friends, and have all been called upon to herd them back in the coop when Nibbles (our dog) needs to go out!

Here's our could-be rooster, Chowder! S/he has beautiful black-green tail feathers, and is one of the easiest chickens to cuddle with :)
